Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
In Seattle, Washington, a group of Christians put on an event with worship music, singing, dancing and speakers, all to raise awareness and stand against boys being let into girls locker rooms, sports teams and bathrooms. Violent leftists like Antifa protested the event and started literally attacking both the event goers and the police. The Seattle mayor then took a stand and blamed the Christians, essentially saying, 'well, you shouldn't have been standing there.'
Of course, the Christian faith is specifically a public one.
'Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Matthew 28:19
So, question, if we are not supposed to proclaim the gospel publicly, then where and how do we disciple the nations?
